GCSE History Revision

As the exam season will be soon be upon us I am writing to you about the revision program we are offering at Lymm High School. Your child has two GCSE History exams this summer:

  • International Relations including causes and events of World War One– Monday 6th June 2016 (AM)
  • British Depth Study: 1939-75 – Tuesday 14th June 2016 (PM)

To prepare your child for their GCSE History exam, the History department will be running a series of revision sessions. The revision schedule will run as follows:

I would strongly advise that your child attends as many sessions as possible in order to achieve their full potential in the exam. Independent revision is also key to gaining high grades. We would recommend that your child:

– Attends the appropriate revision session – these will become compulsory for anyone who is currently underperforming after February half-term.

– Accessing the LRC at break and lunchtime to do research/independent revision/wider reading.
