Ladies Day

Lymm Rugby Club’s inaugural “Ladies Day” event took place on Friday 15th June to raise money for local schools.

Each year the charity lunch aims to bring together hundreds of women from across the village to ‘socialise, shop and strengthen community ties’ – all inside the Lymm Rugby Club marquee.

Around 380 ladies turned out for the event ready to raise money for the cause, along with Rachel Burke-Davies, Capital FM Radio presenter who appeared as a guest speaker to compere the event.

After enjoying a glass of champagne on arrival, guests sat down to a two-course lunch which included artisan breads, chicken breast with Parma ham and roasted vegetables followed by a yummy lemon posset for dessert.

During the day local fashion lovers got the chance to soak up all the action, with guests dressing to impress at the glamourous gathering, and the chance to enjoy a fashion show featuring clothing and accessories from local boutiques ‘Kiri’ and ‘Jessobel’.

Throughout the afternoon, ladies could browse around a range of exhibitors’ stands including handbags, jewellery, clothing, candles and beauty products.

After a fun-filled afternoon guests walked away with their very own goody bags which included make up items, cookies, a luxury tablecloth, chocolates and much more, all donated to help raise funds for Lymm schools and the rugby club.

All local schools will directly benefit from ticket sales, with proceeds split evenly between Statham, Ravenbank, Oughtrington, Little Bollington, High Legh, and Cherry Tree as well as Lymm High School.

Thank you to all our Lymm High School Ladies and especially our fabulous LHS PTA who helped organise such a wonderful event.
