Year 7 Update

Good afternoon

We are nearly at the end of the week and what an amazing start the Y7 students have had.  They have managed to get through 18 lessons, 4 break times and 4 lunch times with confidence and enthusiasm.  Tomorrow I am talking the big step and letting the students make their own way to lessons.  Please reassure them that they will be looked after if they get lost, I have told staff to keep an eye out for them.

I have seen a number of students already taking part in extra-curricular activities which is superb.  I’m expecting all pupils to sign up to take part in an activity by October half term; information can be found in student services on the extra-curricular noticeboard, and I will get information out to form tutors so it can go up on their form noticeboards.  Please can you remind your child to keep looking for this information and discuss with them the activities they have chosen.

Next week I am expecting the same fantastic standards of behaviour, now I know what they are capable of I have great expectations for this year group.

I hope as parents you have got over the nerves of sending your little one off for their first week and Lymm and you have managed to find your way around the different communication channels and processes we have.  If you are still struggling or unsure about anything please do get in touch with me.
