English Trip – The Tempest

Following a very high demand for tickets to see The Tempest at the Grand Theatre in Blackpool, we have managed to secure an additional 50 places on the trip. We would like to apologise for the way in which tickets were allocated initially (whereby some classes received letters before others and therefore gained an unfair advantage under the ‘first come, first served’ system). We simply hadn’t anticipated demand being so great and have changed our systems accordingly for future trips. To avoid the same issues this time, we will use a ballot system. If we have received more than 50 reply slips by Monday 23rd January, we will draw names at random to select those students able to go. A list of names will be displayed outside the English office and an item placed on ParentPay for those who have been successful by Friday 27th January. Letters will be handed out by tutors on Thursday 19th January, a copy of which can be downloaded by clicking HERE.

Year 9 Choices Evening

We would like to warmly welcome all year 9 students and parents to Lymm High School’s Year 9 Choices Evening.

To see the curriculum on offer to your child click HERE for the Year 9 Choices Booklet.

Choices can be submitted by completing this choices form and handing in to form tutors.

The choices evening has two major components: a brief presentation in the hall where our choices process is outlined and a subject ‘market place’ in the sports hall where you can ask the subject experts: our teachers and heads of faculty, any questions about their subject area.

The timings of these will be:-

6.00 – 6.30pm

Arley, Dunham & Moreton Hall: Presentation from the Senior Leadership Team in the Main School Hall.

6.30 – 7.15pm

Arley, Dunham & Moreton Hall: A subject ‘Market Place’ in the Sports Hall.

6.30 – 7.00pm

Tatton & Walton Hall: Presentation from the Senior Leadership Team in the Main School Hall.

7.00 – 7.45pm
