The MFL department is running a 4-day trip to St Omer on the Opal Coast, France in April 2026. The trip is now open to all students who are studying French in the current Years 7 to 8. Please click here to read the full details.

We are delighted to announce that from September, Mr Barnett will be taking on the role of Head of Year 8 and Mrs Purslow will be the Pastoral Manager. Please click here to read the full details.

Our Year 7, 8 and 9 students will be sitting their summer exams in English, Maths, Science, Humanities and Languages between 9th and 20th June. The exams will assess students’ knowledge and understanding of the content they have covered this academic year in these subjects. An exam timetable for each year group can be accessed here. On Monday 31^st March we have an author coming into school to talk to all of our Year 7 students. The visiting author is Sophie Anderson, who created The House with Chicken Legs, which students studied from October to February. Click here to read the full details.

After Easter, we will be trialling Sparx Reader with our Year 7 students. Sparx Reader is an innovative online reading programme designed to improve students’ comprehension, vocabulary, and overall reading ability by providing personalised book recommendations based on their reading level.
