Founders’ Day Sponsored Walk

Founders’ Day will take place on Wednesday 21st July with the theme ‘A Lasting Legacy’. Students are invited to attend school in non-uniform for a suggested donation of £1, which will go towards their Hall Charity. During the day, all students will be involved in the sponsored walk, a year group assembly, sessions looking at the history of the school and then finished off with a fun carnival in the school grounds. PE lessons, 17-25/06/2021

Boys

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the boys had been using the sports hall as a changing room. However, because of the Year 10 Exams taking place this is not available from Thursday 17th June until Friday 25th June. Therefore, boys are expected to come into school in their PE kit along with suitable footwear, such as trainers, for the days when they have their PE lessons. Their football boots should be packed in their bag. PE kit MUST be in line with school PE kit regulations.

As we are unable to use the changing rooms, students are expected to leave their bags in the school gym. This will be the same system that we used prior to Christmas when the Year 11 students were taking their mock exams in the sports hall. Unfortunately, if the weather is extremely wet, lessons may have to be adapted with groups going in classrooms for part of the lesson. This will prevent students being in wet clothes for the remainder of the day.

Girls

Girls will continue using the changing facilities during this time and will be required to arrive in their normal school uniform.

SENDCo provision

Dear Parents/carers,

I would like to inform you that from Sept. 21 there will be a new SENDCo at Lymm high School: Miss Yates: Kyates@lymmhigh.org.uk and she will be joining me for some annual reviews and transition meetings as I begin to hand-over the role in the Spring/Summer term. Miss Yates is currently Head of History and knows the school and pupils well.

I would like to thank you all for your kindness and support over the last 8 years and I wish your son/daughter the very best in their progress at Lymm High School and I look forward to hearing about their achievements and successes.

I have accepted an Assistant Head Teacher/SENDCo role in a school in Greater Manchester. I now look forward to being a fellow parent at Lymm High School.

Kindest regards
Mrs Angy Bellers
