Overview
Year 7 and 8 students follow schemes of learning based around the revised national curriculum. Activities that promote mathematical thinking and opportunities for developing problem solving skills have been built in to the schemes. Year 7 are initially taught in tutor groups and are then set within the first half term based on their end of KS2 assessments and baseline assessments that take place within the first few weeks at Lymm.

Homework is set in line with school policy. It can consist of both written and online tasks, in the form of MyMaths and Mathswatch.

United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) – Charity which runs the Junior and Intermediate challenges, available to our high ability learners. In addition to this, they also organise the team maths challenge.
