Students will start the AS Psychology course in their first year and progress onto the A Level course for their second year. The AS course consists of two papers. Paper one is on social influence, memory and attachment and paper two is on approaches, psychopathology and research methods. The A Level course covers issues and debates, plus 3 further options to be decided. This eclectic mix of topics allows students to have a good all round knowledge of psychology that is fundamental to understanding human behaviour. It will also equip students with other necessary skills such as analysis and evaluation and also allow them to carry out their own piece of research. We follow the AQA specification and students sit two written papers at the end of the AS Level year or three written papers at the end of the A2 Level year. It is all examination based.
