These events offer a complete guide through the medical and dentistry application journey. Students will gain key insights into the UCAS application process, connect with doctors, dentists, medical and dental students, whilst gaining a clearer view of a future in healthcare. Students will be awarded a certificate of attendance, which can be listed in their UCAS applications, evidencing their preparation into a course in medicine. Students must have a working camera and microphone for the session. Additionally, a parent or guardian should be present during these conferences to provide valuable insights and guidance, ensuring they can effectively support their progress.
Russell Group Webinar Fairs
Tuesday 30th September to Thursday 2nd October
Taking place over 3 days, five 90-minute sessions will feature four or five expert panellists who will offer clear, impartial guidance for students looking at taking the next step in their educational journey. In each session the Q&A function will be managed by other member universities from the Russell Group who will be able to answer specific questions and provide further information.

Unifrog University Fair
Tuesday 14th October 2025
At this virtual university fair on Tuesday 14th October, students can be inspired to begin their applications through live sessions with university representatives. Students can meet top UK universities including Durham, Newcastle, Aberdeen, Exeter, Oxford Brookes and Norwich University of the Arts.
Live sessions will include:
- Placement years at university
- How to ace your personal statement
- How to prepare for university
- Graduate careers
- Top tips for moving away from home
The fair is free for all students who can drop in for just one or two sessions, or stay for the full fair.

CyberFirst Bursary
Deadline for applications: Monday 17th November
The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have 300 places available for its CyberFirst Bursary. You could get up to £24,000 – whatever you’re studying! – with an 8-week placement over the summer. The work experience is with some of the top industry companies, such as Microsoft, AWS, BAE Systems, IBM and KPMG.
Working with GCHQ, the NCSC, as well as over 150 industry members and other government departments, you’ll gain unrivalled insight into the constantly evolving world of cyber security and tech, taking on some seriously unique, real-world research tasks and projects (including cyber-attacks, espionage, terrorism and organised crime). It’s a challenging, varied and meaningful development opportunity that you simply won’t find anywhere else while gaining your degree of choice.
The programme could potentially lead to exciting roles within government and industry. Particularly in intelligence and national security organisations or their industry partners, where you’ll help to shape and further advance our technical capability, including our ability to tackle national security threats.

Cambridge Academic Attainment Programme
Deadline to apply: Tuesday 7th October
Applications are now open for the Lucy Cavendish College Cambridge’s Academic Attainment Programme. This is a programme for around 1000 high-achieving UK state-school students in Year 12 who meet certain Widening Participation criteria. The focus of this programme is on raising attainment, by supporting students in their A’ Level studies, so that they can reach their potential and make applications to competitive universities.
Students will get access to subject-specific enrichment classes led by experts, to allow them to develop and expand on their knowledge of the content of their A’ Levels, and to help them to achieve the very best grades in their exams. They will also attend Peer Discussion Groups, to prepare them for the university environment by improving their oracy and their problem-solving skills. Students will also receive advice from the Admissions Team on every stage of the university application process across the 2 years, and they will complete a Supracurricular Exploration Project to encourage them to think more seriously about their degree choices. Students will also receive subject-specific revision guidance in the lead up to their exams, to ensure they are well-placed to receive the best possible grades.
