John Berry

It is with the greatest regret that we have to announce the loss of a much-loved colleague and friend. John Berry was our site supervisor at the school before he passed away earlier this week after suffering a sudden heart attack.
John worked at the school for well over ten years and was a hugely significant figure within our school community. His warmth, good humour, kindness and capacity for hard work made him very popular with colleagues. Nothing was ever too much trouble for John when it came to supporting others and he was the kind of person who nobody ever had a bad word to say about. Put simply, he was a thoroughly decent man and he will be sorely missed.
John was also a big family man and he leaves behind his wife, Jill, and two children, Laura and Tom. Our thoughts and very best wishes are with them at this, the most challenging of times.
We have held a minute’s silence for John today and will be holding a memorial service in school at some point during summer term. Further details will be provided nearer the time.
