I am writing to let you know that as part of your child’s A Level Geography Course, they must produce an independent project on a topic of their choice that fits with the AQA A Level Geography Specification Content. This is called the Non-Examined Assessment or NEA and is worth 20% of the final A Level.
The NEA has been launched to students recently by their geography class teacher. General guidance regarding the structure and suitable content for investigations has been provided in lessons. However, students should plan to collect their primary data during the summer vacation so that this can be used at the start of the new academic term in September.
Students are required to submit a proposed title for their independent investigation to their geography teacher for approval by Friday 21st July. Further deadlines regarding the completion of this work have been emailed to students and can be found on SMHW.

If you have any clean school uniform in good condition that you would like to donate back to school, this can be dropped off at the school shop up till Friday 28th July.
In addition, we are also collecting used school shoes for the Trussell Trust. These can also be dropped off at the school shop.

Due to the predicted weather forecast on Tuesday 18th July, Sports Day has now been moved to Thursday 20th July. Therefore, can all students ensure they are in full school uniform and bring in all the required equipment for normal lessons on Tuesday 18th July.

This school year finishes at 12.15pm on Friday 21st July. The bus company have told us that they will not be able to send buses earlier to collect students for this early finish.
If your child will not be able to make their way home any other way on Friday 21st July, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing amogey@lymmhigh.org.uk and we will organise transport home for them separately, probably via a school minibus.
