Year 7 Information and Guidance Evening – New date confirmed

We are pleased to confirm rearrangement details for the Year 7 IAG Evening.

The new date for the Year 7 IAG evening will be Wednesday 19th September.

The evening should finish no later than 7.30pm and will cover a brief introduction to the curriculum in Year 7, opportunities available to students, along with homework, assessment and reporting information. On the evening there will be a welcome from the Headteacher and an opportunity to meet your child’s tutor, should you have any concerns or worries, or if you just wish to say hello.

Due to capacity the evening will be split dependent on your child’s Hall group.

Details for the evening are as follows:

5.30pm –  Headteacher’s Presentation – Alrey Dunham & Moreton

6.15pm – Meet the tutors – Arley, Moreton, Tatton & Walton

6.45pm – Headteacher’s Presentation – Tatton & Walton

There will be an opportunity for parents of Dunham students to meet with tutors on Monday 17th September should they wish to do so. This is due to Dunham Form Tutors being in Ty’n-Y-Felin. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Further details about the IAG evening will be sent out in a letter from Mrs Worrall, Head of Year 7 this week.

Knowledge Organisers & Show My Homework

As a school, we recognise the value of quality home learning in complementing and cementing the work students do in lessons. In order to best equip our young people for academic success, we are increasingly making use of Knowledge Organisers, which you may see examples of when your child is completing homework or revision. PTA AGM Meeting

The Lymm High School PTA Committee would like to invite any parents who wish to join the PTA to attend the next meeting to be held on Monday 17th September at
7pm in the school Library. Drinks and nibbles will be provided by the Committee.

The PTA welcomes new members who may have new and
refreshing fundraising ideas. It can be a daunting experience for some, but rest assured, they are a very friendly bunch!!

We look forward to seeing some new faces at the next meeting.
