We’re excited to welcome all our students back for the new school year this week. I am sure many of you will have read the recent BBC article on school attendance, which highlights that being in school every single day is vital for children’s progress, confidence and long-term success. Missing even a day in this first week can set unhelpful patterns for the year ahead.

We know many of you are also looking forward to the return of school routines (and perhaps a little peace and quiet at home too!). By ensuring your child is here every day, you’re giving them the best start – and giving yourselves a well-earned breather as well.

We have been asked to share this letter from Warrington Borough Council, which outlines their policy on Fixed Penalty notices, please take a moment to read this carefully.
